Lanzi confirms EMAS registration: a commitment to the environment and corporate culture.

The climate of widespread uncertainty we are experiencing can make us feel powerless, or even disconnected from any sense of shared responsibility. Yet this is precisely the moment to promote visible change for the common good, both as individuals and as companies.

By continuing along this path, we have proudly renewed our EMAS (Eco-Management and Audit Scheme) registration, a European environmental management system that organisations can join on a voluntary basis. Its aim is to encourage innovative, sustainability-driven choices, through the publication of achieved results and future commitments, in the interest of full transparency. This is certainly a strategy—but a concrete one, based on measurable actions: a true method that strengthens and lends credibility to our corporate culture.

A broad vision of sustainability.

One of the distinctive elements of the EMAS journey is its educational dimension. Adopting an environmental management system is not only about business processes, but also about people. Lanzi has launched training and awareness initiatives for its staff, encouraging sustainable behaviour not only in the workplace, but also in everyday life.

For a transport and logistics company, joining EMAS means acting on multiple fronts:

  • reducing air pollution
  • optimising water consumption
  • responsible waste management
  • reducing electricity use
  • investing in low-impact technologies and equipment

More specifically, we have converted all road vehicles to HVO biofuel, derived from plant-based, strictly non-fossil resources, including recycled waste oils. By using diesel, we would have emitted as much as 1.4 million CO2 in 2025, compared to the actual 142,000 kg—representing a 90% reduction.

In addition, we have implemented energy efficiency and circular economy initiatives. Not only has electricity consumption decreased by 9.25%, despite growth in both workforce and revenue, but 187 trees have also been saved from being cut down, thanks to tyre retreading certified by TÜV Rheinland – KTI.

Finally, aware that environmental sustainability requires not only major changes but also small everyday actions, we have introduced refillable and organic cleaning products for the hygiene of people, spaces and vehicles.

We are only at the beginning of a long journey.

Among the strategic priorities for the coming years, optimal water resource management stands out as an increasingly central issue in a global context marked by a progressive decline in availability.

The confirmation of our EMAS registration therefore represents an important step forward in a structured, long-term journey aimed at generating value not only for the company, but for the entire ecosystem in which it operates.
